Report: Latvia can revise deal on joint oil pipeline use with Russia

MOSCOW, Nov 1 (PRIME) – The Latvian government plans to revise a 1993 agreement with Russia on the joint use of oil and oil product pipelines, news portal Baltnews reported on Tuesday on its Telegram channel.

"A meeting of state secretaries (the executive body of the government) will take place this week, an intergovernmental agreement with Russia on the joint use of oil and oil product pipelines crossing the territory of Latvia will be considered during the meeting," the news portal reported.

The authorities can revise the rule banning confiscation or nationalization of the assets.

The Druzhba oil pipeline starting in the Samara Region to carry oil to Europe runs across the country.
